Our Beliefs
-
At New Life Church, we believe that both the Old and New Testaments are the authoritative Word of God. The Bible is the ultimate and final authority for understanding our beliefs and doctrines. It was written under divine inspiration and is completely trustworthy and without error.
(Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25-26; 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; 1 Thessalonians 2:13) -
At New Life Church, we believe in the the Trinity. We believe that there is one God who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. These three persons are equal in their divine nature and exist together for all eternity.
(Genesis 1:26; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; Luke 1:35; Luke 3:21-22; 1 John 5:7) -
At New Life Church, we believe in Jesus Christ, who is God the Son and the second person of the Trinity. Jesus was both fully God and fully man during His time on earth. He was born of a virgin, lived a perfect and sinless life, and performed incredible miracles. Jesus willingly sacrificed Himself on the cross, shedding His blood to account for the sins of humanity. On the third day, He triumphantly rose from the dead, as foretold in the scriptures. Jesus then ascended to the right hand of the God, will return again in power and glory.

At New Life Church, we believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ. He was conceived in the womb of the virgin Mary by the power of God the Father, through the Holy Spirit. This unique conception affirms Jesus as the Son of God, fulfilling the prophecies spoken in Isaiah. The Virgin Birth demonstrates the extraordinary nature of Jesus' incarnation and highlights His divine origin.
(Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18, 23-25; Luke 1:26-35) -
At New Life Church, we firmly believe in the physical resurrection of Jesus Christ. Three days after His death on the cross, Jesus was raised from the dead, emerging with a glorified body. This victorious resurrection demonstrates His power over death and validates His divine nature. Jesus then ascended into heaven, where He currently sits at the right hand of the Father.
(Luke 24:36-39; John 2:19-21, 20:26-28; Romans 8:34, Colossians 3:1) -
We acknowledge that humanity was originally created in the image of God. However, through the choice of voluntary disobedience, humanity fell into sin. As a result, all people share in this lost and sinful nature. But there is hope for redemption, and it lies solely in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. He is the answer to our fallen state and provides a way for us to be redeemed.
(Genesis 1:26-31, 3:1-7; Romans 5:12-21) -
We believe that salvation comes through grace alone, by placing personal faith in Jesus Christ. It is a gift from God and not something earned through our own good works or human effort. When we repent of our sins, we receive forgiveness. Repentance involves a commitment to follow Jesus Christ, allowing us to experience redemption.
(Romans 10:9-10; Acts 3:19, 16:31; Galatians 2:16, 3:8; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5; Hebrews 9:22) -
We believe in the process of sanctification, which involves continually yielding to God's Word and the Holy Spirit. This process allows for the development of Christ's character within us. Through the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and the guidance of God's Word, we are empowered to live a godly life.
(Romans 8:29, 12:1-2; 2 Corinthians 3:18, 6:14-18; 1 Thessalonians 4:3-8, 5:23; Hebrews 2:11) -
We believe that the sinless blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross of Calvary, is completely sufficient to cleanse mankind of all sin. His sacrifice allows us to be free from the penalty of sin, which is death.
(1 John 1:7; Revelation 1:5, 5:9; Colossians 1:20; Romans 3:10-12, 23, 5:9; John 1:29) -
We believe that Christians are individuals who have invited the Lord Jesus Christ to dwell within them through His Holy Spirit. By surrendering the authority of their lives to Him, they acknowledge Jesus as the Lord of their lives. This transformative act is made possible through His death, burial, and resurrection.
(John 1:12, 14:17, 15:4; Romans 8:11; Revelation 3:20) -
We believe in the importance of water baptism by immersion as a step of obedience following faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. According to the Word of God, new Christians are commanded to be baptized in water. This baptism is to be administered in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, as well as in the name of Jesus.
(Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38, 8:12, 36-38, 10:47-48) -
We cherish the special time of communion in the presence of God. During this sacred moment, we, as believers, partake of the elements—the Body and Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ (bread and juice)—as a remembrance of His sacrifice on the Cross.
(Matthew 26:26-29, 1 Corinthians 10:16, 11:23-29) -
We believe that every person who is born of the Spirit is part of the universal church, becoming a member of the body of believers. Scripture encourages us to be actively connected to and planted in a local church. The Church serves as the representative of Jesus on earth, carrying out His mission and the Great Commission.
(Psalm 92:12-15; Ephesians 1:22, 2:19-22; Hebrews 12:23; John 17:11, 20-23) -
We uphold the testimony of the God-breathed Holy Scriptures, which affirm that the sacred covenant of marriage is reserved exclusively for one man and one woman. This divine design is evident from the beginning of creation, as stated in Genesis. The Scriptures teach that marriage is a union between a husband and a wife, a reflection of God's plan for human relationships.
(Genesis 1:27-28, 2:23-24, 5:2; Matthew 19:4-6, 1 Corinthians 6:18, 1 Thessalonians 4:3, Romans 1:26-27) -
We believe that Heaven is the eternal dwelling place for all who embrace the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Those who have placed their faith in Him will enjoy everlasting life in the presence of God.
Conversely, the Scriptures teach that after their earthly life, unbelievers will face judgment from God. Those who reject the Gospel will be sent to Hell, where they will be eternally separated from God and share in the company of the Devil and the Fallen Angels. Hell is a place of eternal existence, signifying the solemn consequence of rejecting God's offer of salvation through Jesus Christ.
Matthew 5:3,12, 20, 6:20, 19:21, 25:34, 25:41; Mark 9:43-48; John 5:11-13, 17:24; 2 Corinthians 5:1; Hebrews 9:27, 11:16; 1 Peter 1:4; Revelation 14:9-11, 20:12-15, 21:8) -
At New Life Church, we firmly believe in the physical, visible, and glorious return of Jesus Christ to the earth for the second time. His return will establish His kingdom, an event of which the exact date remains unknown to mankind.
(Matthew 24:30, 26:63-64; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-8; Revelation 1:7)
